Armagnac (/ˈɑːmənˌjæk/; French pronunciation: [aʁ.maˈɲak]) is a distinctive kind of brandy produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France. It is distilled from wine usually made from a blend of grapes including Baco 22A, Colombard, Folle blanche and Ugni blanc, traditionally using column stills rather than the pot stills used in the production of Cognac. The resulting spirit is then aged in oak barrels before release.

Bas-Armagnac Delord XO
Doled X.O. is an armagnac, which is a specific type of brandy produced in the Armagnac region of France. Armagnac is distilled once. Single distillation allows armagnac to retain more floral and fruit notes. Armagnac is generally aged in oak barrel where it picked up color, tanin, and more complex notes of vanilla, spice, and caramel. Most armagnac are blends from multiple years. Label descriptions always refer to the age of the youngest eau-de-vie in the blend.
